    Thanks for the video. I would like to ask you some questions. The first: It seems that you are growing the Hass variety. Do you grow it alone? Or do you grow another variety with it? So that there is a feminine and a masculine? If so, what is the appropriate male variety to plant with the Hass variety? What is the appropriate number of trees of the male variety to plant for 10 trees of the female variety? If there is an optimal planting combination, please tell me it? Thank you very much.

    I have a whole row of wee whites 10-15 plants that were planted as a foundation hedge in the front row due to their supposed small size. They are now over 5 feet tall and dwarf in height the 3-4 feet foundation hedges that were planted behind them. So, they will have to be moved somewhere else. A lot of these dwarf hybrids don’t seem to stay the size advertised.

    Can I plant a show off forsythia in container and prune to maintain?

    • @Naturehills
      @Naturehills 24 дні тому

      Hi there, the short answer is absolutely. You can grow Show Off in a container as long as it's a large enough container and there are holes in the bottom to allow for adequate drainage. You'll want to take special care to water well and as needed throughout the season. Show Off gets to be fairly large at 5 feet tall and wide so pruning may become difficult. I suggest looking at Show Off Sugar Baby if you'd like to keep it smaller as it'll only grow 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 feet tall and wide. Learn more about it here: www.naturehills.com/forsythia-show-off-sugar-baby Happy planting:) - Whit

    • @Naturehills
      @Naturehills Місяць тому

      Any lavender rated for zone 9 will do well in your climate as long as the spot you select has two things - lots of sun and well-draining soil. If you're worried your soil will hold too much moisture, you can always build up a spot with lighter soil and plant there. You can also be successful when growing lavender in a pot as long as it has drainage holes in the bottom. Here are some zone 9 lavender: www.naturehills.com/perennials/perennial-varieties/lavender/9 happy planting! - Whit

      Hi there, it's generally always a good idea to have your soil tested to know what it might be lacking. If you notice your plant isn't putting on a normal amount of growth or lacking nice leaf color, you might consider using a 10-10-10 All Purpose fertilizer -- which is great for all landscape plants. We like Maxlawn All Purpose Fertilizer (www.naturehills.com/maxlawn-all-purpose-fertilizer) or Dr. Earth Life Organic and Natural All Purpose Fertilizer (www.naturehills.com/dr-earth-life-all-purpose-fertilizer) if you'd like an organic option.
